Texas State Fair kinda day...

I love that kids get a "Fair" day in Texas!  We were so excited to visit the fair this year, but first we had to stop by the pediatrician's office for Ryne's hurt finger.  She is a bad nail biter and had caused a bad infection on one finger.  Of course it just happened to be her middle finger and of course she had to show everyone.  She actually greeted me at church this way because another kid had grabbed it and made it start bleeding.  Everyone around got a good laugh at that one!
Thankfully after a quick visit we were headed for some Fair fun.  We met Pops and GranJan there so that made it even more fun!  As you can see, no hurt finger could keep this girl from having a blast!
Ryne saw a face painting booth, so we hopped in the long line for her transformation!
Reese wasn't too sure about it!
Then we found some rides that even our littlest could enjoy!
She was pretty bummed when she wasn't tall enough, but so happy when she was!
Ryne and I did lots of fun houses together!

And some fun rides too!  Lucky for me I was her choice on the crazy spinning things...oh the things we do for our kids!
I LOVE this!  Reese had a blast riding like a big girl!
Super girl!
We watched some pretty awesome bmx(?) bikers...
and saved the best ride for last...

On top of the world...or ferris wheel!
Of course no fair trip would be complete without some yummy fair food.  We all went nuts over this red velvet funnel cake...delicious!
Such a fun night!
