Ryne loves to chalk outside! We only have a little bit of chalkable space but the girls had fun leaving their masterpieces for the world to see! :)

Aladdin and x-rays...
We were able to go to Jan and Ken's school last Thursday night for a play. They put on a play just for kids as a fundraiser. Ryne loved it! The story line was a little different from the Aladdin that we all know and love but it was still really good. The monkey was pretty funny!
We got a call about an hour after being home that her foot appears to be fine. Yay! She said for Ryne to take it easy and keep her foot elevated and if it still bothers her in a couple of weeks to go back in. Yeah right that she will be taking it easy! Ryne was pretty bummed though because she really wanted some "crunches"! :)
Reese wasn't too sure! lol! |
I so don't want to think about these two being big enough to use lockers like these! |
The next morning we went to the pediatrician about Ryne's foot. She hurt it on the carousel at the Zoo (on Tuesday) but didn't really complain about it until Wednesday while we were at GWL. My arches were kinda hurting from walking barefoot on concrete the whole time we were there so we thought it might just be that. I should add that she was still running around like the wild child that she is! :) However, when I picked her up from school on Thursday I noticed that she had started favoring it. So we made an appointment for Friday morning. After seeing the pediatrician we were sent over for x-rays. I did not come prepared for such a long wait (especially while waiting for x-rays) but both girls were troopers.

One kiddo...
I remember when Ryne was a baby and doing things with one kid seemed kinda hard. Well now just having one is a total breeze! When Ryne was around one, a guy that Jeremy worked with (who had multiple kids) asked J what we did with all our free time! At the time we thought he was nuts...I mean free time yeah right! lol! Now whether I just have Ryne or just have Reese it is SO easy! I'm sure if we had 3 I would talk about how easy it was with just two! :) Anyways, all that was to say that one night Ryne spent the night at GranJan's. We met up with them the next day for lunch and before meeting them we ran a few errands. Reese enjoyed being the only kiddo with both parents but we were all ready to get big sis back! :)
She got a big kick out of the dog at Old Navy but wouldn't get close to it! |
We beat them to the restaurant and Reese entertained herself by trying to lock people out! Check out her extreme look of concentration! :)
She also played with random hands on the other side of the glass! :) |
So happy to see this little dancer! |
Pj playtime...
A lazy day at home is amazing after a busy week. If you can stay in pj's all day, then take a bath and put on more pj's...well that's just awesome!
One of my favorite time of day...
I am not a morning person but I adore early morning snuggle time with Reese. She tends to wake up before Ryne and we snuggle and watch Barney. I have a theory that she loves Barney so much she is scared to sleep past 7 and miss her Barney time! :)
I'm not a fan of Barney but I am a huge fan of this sweet girl!

Great Wolf Lodge
Ryne and Reese both slept in the car on the way to GWL. Once Ryne woke up we drove around to the front for her to guess where we were. She was excited but then confused because she didn't have a bathing suit...surprise! Mommy packed everything you would need and daddy snuck it in the trunk! :) We checked in and one little girl could not wait to hit the waterpark!
The first day was super fun but I didn't take any pictures! :) Ryne was big enough to do all but 2 slides! That is CRAZY! She loved doing the grown-up slides with us. We took turns hanging out with Reese and going on slides with Ryne. It was so much fun! Ryne still enjoyed the middle size slides quite a bit and Reese loved splashing in that area while she was sliding. Reese loved the slides for little ones too. She probably did them 50 times.
We played until around 7 and then headed to the room for baths, pizza, then bed. Both girls were wired! Ryne finally settled down after a couple of books but Reese would not lay down until the lights were off and we were all in bed!
The next morning we ate breakfast and then headed back to the waterpark. I took some pictures of the fun before Jeremy took all our stuff to the car.
trying to drink the water! yuck! |
still trying to drink the water! |
She had that smile pretty much the whole time we were there! |
Yep, J tricked her into standing there when the big bucket dumped. 4000 gallons of water! |
waiting on sissy and so happy about it! |
I wish I would have kept the camera long enough to take pictures of Ryne jumping waves in the wave pool...it was awesome! She also met a super cute little boy named Noah, who kept trying to give her knuckles and she acted completely clueless(!), they were inseparable...until we asked if she wanted to go down the big slides! :)
We stayed through the afternoon and left tired but happy! I think she had a pretty great birthday!
