Pictures, Pool Time, and Picnics...Doctor appointments too but that doesn't start with a P! :)

The Friday we were home we had a doctor appointment for Reese.  They wanted to check her jaundice levels again to make sure they were going down.  We spent the morning hanging out with my parents and then they watched Ryne while we went to the appointment.  Ryne helped me get Reese ready and picked out a sweet pink dress for her.

She wanted to snuggle with her sister for a few minutes before we had to go...

I'm obsessed with little feet right now!  lol!

We continued our impromptu photo shoot outside!  :)

Are those not the cutest little lips?!

This baby girl has lots of sweet dreams!  She smiles all the time and I swear we have even heard a little laugh!

Reese did great at her doctor appointment.  She was still down from her birth weight, but they weren't concerned with it because she was eating, peeing, and pooping great.  They ended up not even checking for jaundice because they said they could tell it was getting better.  So we made a follow-up appointment for the week.

First doctor's appointment!
We had to run a few errand after her appointment that included a doctor's appointment for me (which took FOREVER), a trip to Target, and a Wal-Mart run.  We ended up not going into Wal-Mart because it was packed and I was in some pain.  Who needs food anyways!  lol!
First trip to Target!
Once we got home my parents being as wonderful as they are went to Wal-Mart and bought stuff for dinner.  Thanks guys!  The rest of the day/evening was spent playing in the pool and having a picnic.  Ryne really wanted me to herself for a little while so we ate at her picnic table.  She said that was the best dinner ever!  lol!

Best dinner ever!  :)
Life as a family of 4 is great so far!

First bath...

We decided to give Reese her first bath on our first day home from the hospital.  They said every other day and she had one the day she was born...so we were a little late!  Reese really like just laying in the hammock above the warm water, but she wasn't a fan when we started washing her.  Ryne was my big helper and loved washing Reese's little feet and back.  Ryne also enjoyed some snuggle time afterwards with a baby that smelled oh so good!  Seriously, is there any better smell in the world??

That face is so precious!

All done and nice and warm again!

Day 3 - Going Home!

We got to go home on Wednesday and I think Ryne was the most excited!  They said she practically drug them out of the house and was not happy when they stopped for breakfast!  ha!  It took awhile for us to get discharged, but we were on our way early afternoon.

my girls!

doesn't Ryne look so happy?!

I can't tell you how much I love this baby!

Gotta meet the pups!

Ryne wanted to hold her as soon as we got in.  Reese wanted to eat!  lol!

Watching a movie with daddy!

the paci takes up half her face!  lol!
We had a low key evening at home.  I actually spent a good bit of it nursing and sleeping.  Nursing on top of already being sleep deprived equals an almost comatose state!  lol!  My mom went to stay with Kitty but Jan and Ken stayed one more night.  We had a pretty good night.  Reese slept really good and we had to wake her up to eat.  We woke her up every 3 hours because of her still being jaundice.  She would eat and just go right back to sleep.  She is such a good and content baby.  She already has the sweetest, most laid back personality.  We all love her so much!

Day 2...

Day 2 at the hospital was spent just loving on our sweet little cuddle bug!  We didn't get much sleep the night before because Reese is such a noisy sleeper!  She grunted all night.  We kept checking on her and she was always fine and asleep, but I couldn't ever go to sleep because I was so worried about her!  I guess I will get use to all those sweet grunts sometime!

Ryne was in a hurry to get back up to the hospital to see her little sister (Mommy and Daddy too of course!), so everyone showed up mid-morning.  We took turns holding Reese, although I held her the most by far!  I felt a little bad about hogging her so much but many of my friends reminded me of what I went through the past 9+ months so I didn't feel as bad after that!  lol!  Ryne also made sure she had her fair share of time with Reese.  She is so sweet and gentle with her.  Reese has a great big sister!

Love those cheeks!
I look HORRIBLE...but this is reality.  A very tired Mommy just wanting to love on her new baby!

G-=Gi getting some snuggle time...

Ryne can always find something fun to do!

Love my girls!

My world!

My favorite picture from the hospital!

We are blessed!

little baby feet!

Ryne played photographer and she was BOSSY!  lol!

So so sweet!

Love!!

Reese felt right at home in her big sister's arms!

Beautiful baby girl!
Around 7:00 the nurses kicked everyone out because my blood pressure was really high.  They said if it didn't go down they wouldn't discharge us the next day...yikes!  So the grandparents left with Ryne and I tried to just relax.  Of course holding Reese was like the best stress relief!  :)  Jeremy went and picked up Lenny's for dinner because the cheeseburger they had for dinner at the hospital just looked gross!  Lenny's was amazing!  The things I miss the most while pregnant are sushi and non-nuked lunch meat.  Yum!

We missed our big girl but enjoyed having some quiet time with our baby girl.  We just feel so blessed with our little family!
