Ryne's first day of 3rd grade!

Just like that...Summer is over.  :(. It makes me sad that school is back in and we won't be spending our days together.  A little routine will be nice, but summer living is pretty grand!  Even the past crazy summer we had!

I try to make the first day back pretty special...

Before long we had to say bye!  We can't wait until 3:10!

We went back home for a few minutes and then loaded up for the grocery store.  Unfortunately we did not make it out before the rain came!

 After lunch, it was nap time for Jeter and bake time for me and Reese!  We wanted to make Ryne a special cake!

 Then it was time to get our girl!  She was pretty pumped about her cake!

 It made the perfect after school snack!  ;)

Back to the real world I guess!

Back to School breakfast!

We invited the Fickey's over for a little back to school waffle and ice cream breakfast!  I mean, who doesn't want waffles and ice cream for breakfast?!

 I'm a dork so I printed off some fun stuff the night before...

 It was a sticky fun time!

This is a family favorite tradition and it was so much fun sharing it with some of our favorite people!

Eye exam and meet the teacher!

This afternoon was spent at the eye doctor...3 1/2 hours!  This guy did pretty good to be somewhere with very limited options for fun!  

 Jeremy noticed something was off with his left eye while we were at the pool one day in China.  His pediatrician confirmed, so here we are!  We found out that there is a definite problem and surgery is in our sweet guy's near future.  :(

 We made it back in time to go to Ryne's meet the teacher.  She has 2 teachers again this year and she was excited to meet them both!

 We got home and started dinner.  I went to check on Jeter because he was way too quiet...

 Yep...crazy kid!  Baby powder everywhere!  

Jeter's first American Mall trip!

We decided to do a little back to school shopping at the Mall.  Jeter always hangs out with me while I am getting ready and he was being pretty darn cute!

 Once every one was ready go...we headed to the mall!  After a couple of stores we found BAB...so of course Jeter needed his very first BAB!  He kinda went nuts running around and touching every single thing!  But then he calmed down enough to get in line to have his sweet new friend stuffed.

 He found something that looked just his size and tried it out!

 He was very concerned with the whole stuffing part.

 He picked out a scent - cotton candy and his bear smells so good!  Ryne thought we should have done pizza!  ha!

 After that fun we headed to eat lunch...

 and then a ride on the carousal!  

 He looks scared but he actually warmed up and like it!

And why not ice cream to make our day even better?!

 After ice cream, Jeter fell asleep!  So we shopped at a couple more stores before calling it a day.

It was a pretty fun day with my little people!
