No school means Funday Monday!

Ryne was out of school for MLK day so we headed to the zoo to enjoy the beautiful day!  Once we got there we realized that every Monday is free zoo day.  That plus no school, plus pretty weather, meant a crazy packed zoo!  we still had fun though and enjoyed hanging out with friends.

After the zoo we headed to Orange Leaf for a little treat...

Then we met daddy for dinner…seriously what a perfect day!

Zoo + Orange Leaf + Mexican food = pretty great day!

Hot Chocolate anyone?!

Ryne REALLY wanted to have a Hot Chocolate Stand.  So, we jumped on the chance when it wasn't too hot or too cold and made it happen.  We made a quick trip to Homeland after school for the necessities...

Shopping with these crazies is always a good time!
We raced home and got everything ready…and soon we were in business!
The girls had the best time manning the stand.  Ryne warmed lots of tummies and had a blast doing it!
It was hard work though so the girls needed a break once we got done!  :)

Lovely weather, Pj reading, roller skating fun!

We are having a rough winter, but every now and then we have a pretty amazing day and we do our best to enjoy it!  We were finally able to check out or new little park!  The girls gave it two thumbs up!

Then after getting all nice and clean it was time for a story or two...

The next morning Reese was still wanting to read.  She does this adorable thing when she's "reading". It's like she smells the words!  It is so funny!
After reading our books we decided to meet some friends at the skating rink.  The girls had fun but Reese wasn't much on skating!

 This kid loved it though!

Ryne and Jett were so cute during the couples skate!  lol!
 Me and my girl!

Daddy got in on the action too!  It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon!  :)

NYE Francis style...

We like to keep it low key and laid back when bringing in the New Year.  Snacks, games, and just relaxing until the ball drops is our favorite.  This year we passed some of the time by making bracelets for ALL of Ryne's classmates.  She has such a sweet heart!

Then we decorated our gingerbread houses that had been sitting in our pantry!  Oops!

Before long it was time to get ready for the ball to drop.  The girls were feeling extra fancy!  ;)

Don't you just love the cute little raised pinkie?!
We made it to midnight…well 11:00 for the girls but they saw the ball drop and had no idea!  lol!
Happy New Year!  2015 is going to be awesome, I just know it!
